David O’Reilly has worked in the Irish construction industry for over 30 years specializing in the specification, installation, management and maintenance of Passive Fire Protection Systems.
He is a Technician Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) and a member of the IFE Irish Branch Council.
He sits on the Management Council of the Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) and as ASFP Ireland’s Operations Officer liaises with Government, regulators, clients and others to develop an awareness of Passive Fire Protection in Ireland. This role involves providing specialist guidance and direction based on international best practice for those tasked with the design, installation and maintenance of Passive Fire Protection in buildings.
